Thursday, January 05, 2006 9:52 AM Hello Wayne... You asked me to email you with our story of the nickel. I swear to you that this is true. On our first night in Grand View, Ken and I were getting ready for our evening meal. While I was in the kitchen, he moved some things from the small table in front of the fireplace to the coffee table. One of the items was a nickel which did not belong to either of us. I went into the room to wipe off the small table to get it ready to set. There was nothing on the table at that time. I returned to the kitchen to get the napkins and silver, and when I went back, the nickel was in the center of the small table. At first I thought Ken had played a trick on me, but he had never left the kitchen. I put the nickel back on the coffee table, laid the napkins and silver on the small table and returned to the kitchen. About 5 minutes later, Ken took the food to the small table and found the nickel on his napkin. We tried to explain it away but there really was no "logical" explanation. We decided that someone wanted that nickel on the table so we left it there throughout our stay. Again, I swear to you that this happened. It reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite movies... Master and Commander: "Not everything is in your books." Ken and I want to thank you and Deanna for the wonderful, peaceful and nourishing stay we had at your incredible home. We look forward to our next visit : ) Take care. May our Goddess Mother Earth and your God bless you and Deanna and your family with all things good.
