"Rose Red" was named after Stephen
King's ABC/Disney "Rose Red" mini-series filmed at here Thornewood. It is located on the
third floor and is the room just beneath the large "Rose Red" Tower added to the
roof just for the movie. This room has a king size bed, original in-room sink, detached private bath with
Jacuzzi tub and hand shower, beautiful 16th-century stain glass inserts, a lovely lake view, and of course the theme is "roses". In the hall just outside the door is a restored, large sky-light through which you can view some of the
house chimneys.
This is the detached (down the hall
about 15 feet), but private (not shared with any other rooms) bath room with the
Rose Red Room.
Amenities included a new, deep
Jacuzzi jetted tub. We kept the original faucet and hand shower that was with
the original claw foot tub in this bath room.

together, the "Sewing Room" can also be rented
