Reflected in its rich and gentlemanly appointments, Chester's Suite was the original bedroom of the master of the castle, Chester Thorne.
This suite features a queen-size bed, large private bath with a pedestal sink and a large 6-foot original bathtub/shower, and gas fireplace. The large wing-back chairs and love seat are a great place to curl up with a book. The beautiful 16th-century stained glass windows have a lovely view of the courtyard.
Chester's is a handsome and romantic room often used for honeymoons. It was, naturally, tradition for the bride to be taken to the husband's room in "castle times."
